Infinite Multiplayer Schmup

Explorations in multiplayer shoot'em ups. I made this for Castle Game Jam 2023, unfortunately I wasn't able to complete it so it's only a prototype. The idea was to create a schmup that allow as many people as possible to join (while keeping it to 1 screen), and have an actor or system they can take control of. Initially thinking that as players join, they could take control of enemies similar to the game Crawl. But I wanted to go further and see how many systems I could expose to be taken control of. The spawning system, music player, game controller, backgrounds and so on. But alas I got stuck trying to get the networking system working, and ended up with a demo where the first players screen will be replicated on other player's screens when they join, only the first player controls anything.
